Phillip H. Fisher, M.D., is the Medical Director and
co-founder of the Midwest Center. Dr. Fisher has been working with
anxiety and panic both with the Midwest Center and in private practice
since 1981. He has helped thousands of individuals recover from acute
anxiety. He is on staff at Toledo Hospital, Riverside Hospital, and
Flower Hospital and is a member of the American Academy of Family
Practice, the Academy of Medicine of Lucas County, the Ohio State
Medical Society and the Phobia Society of America.
Paul
Kelley, M.D., is the National Director of Psychiatry. Dr. Kelley's
expertise focuses on substance abuse, depression, dissociative
disorders, anxiety and psychopharmacology. Associations include:
American Medical Association, Tennessee Psychiatric Association and the
International Society for the Study of Multiple Personality and
Dissociation.
James
Buldus, Ed.D., is Regional Psychological Director. Dr. Buldus
specializes in working with anxiety, agoraphobia and depression. His
primary method of psychotherapy is cognitive-behavioral. Dr. Buldus is a
member of the Ohio State Board of Psychology, the Toledo Association of
Professional Psychologists, March of Dimes Advisory Committee and the
American Board of Psychotherapy.
Carolyn Dickman is Education Director, a group facilitator and lecturer.
She spends much of her time and emotional effort corresponding with
home-study participants. As a co-founder of Lamaze of Northwest Ohio,
Carolyn's diverse background, combined with her many years of personal
struggle with anxiety, make her a valuable asset to the Midwest Center.
Joel Swabb, Ph.D., is outreach coordinator and seminar facilitator. He
has set up and directed the first Ohio family M.D.'s Biofeedback Stress
Control Center. With thousands of hours of clinical stress training
experience, he has trained physicians for the American Medical
Association's approved continuing education credits. In the clinical
setting, Joel is a highly skilled biofeedback stress management trainer.
He has demonstrated over a decade of consistent results in the control
of migraine and tension headache, hypertension and a variety of
stress-related health challenges.
